03 — The Artisan Process
Four hands. Four layers. Decades of patina ahead.
Every wall is built up by hand in a sequence developed over years in the field — mineral first, marble last.
Mineral Primer
A breathable mineral base bonds to the substrate and conditions it for plaster — a foundation engineered to hold for decades, not seasons.
Texture Layering
Multiple hand-troweled passes of lime and marble dust build the depth, movement, and quiet directionality of the finish.
Burnishing
Pressure and steel slowly pull a natural sheen from the marble within. Light becomes part of the material.
Wax Finishing
A natural wax is worked into the surface — deepening tone, sealing the wall, and revealing its final dimensional richness.
